John Taylor and his brothers, William and George, had purchased the site in the Don Valley within the 1830s the place they established a paper mill. However, an organization known as Torvalley Associates provided $4,001,000 for the positioning and bought the positioning. A quarry was soon established at the north end of the location and a brick making plant was constructed on the south finish of the property close to the Don River. The Don Valley Brick Works (typically referred to because the Evergreen Brick Works) is a former quarry and industrial site positioned in the Don River Valley in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Within the 1920s a serious enlargement resulted in a reputation change to the Don Valley Brick Works Restricted. The Don Valley Pressed Brick Company produced bricks using three methods. By 1907 the corporate had two of these kilns in operation and was producing between 85,000 and 100,000 bricks per day.
